Every fellowship must be recorded in the ledger, so a quest pack may be prepared for each adventurer.

Every fellowship walks the same enchanted road through Cuxton — yet each adventurer receives the trail tome written for their order. Little ones, wayfinders and elders quest side by side.

This is more than a walk. When your fellowship is entered in the ledger, artefacts are prepared for you to collect and wield on the day of the quest.

The enchanted road takes between one and two hours of mortal time, depending on how swiftly you walk and how long the riddles hold you. A hidden extra chapter awaits any fellowship that dares to keep exploring.

Before you set out on the enchanted path, here is what you need to know.

Why is it free?

Fair question, though perhaps not the most satisfying answer — because we want it to be open to everyone to do. We're NetherQuirks, a small independent creative endeavour based in Cuxton and the trial allows us to try out a wide range of our skill sets. Down the line we may expand into doing other trials, but want to test out some concepts first thus free!

Is there a limit to the number of people?

We have an initial limit of up to 20 groups; this is so we can ensure we have enough time to make the resources (the decoder wheel is laser cut, the booklets hand printed etc). Once we get a gauge on the interest we might be able to expand the number of groups.

So, like, what is it actually?

Simply put you'll be given a 'clue' and various resources and be sent on your way to collect secret codes which you then enter into a dedicated website (the website works offline, so no need to worry about mobile data). There will be physical props to find in the village, and rubbing stones for patterns. You might find it boring, or it might be the best free thing you've done this year. Who knows? I sure as jolly don't!

What ages would it suit?

We've tried our best to make it so there is concurrent things for people of all ages to do at each stop — but equally it's walking around the village so bear that in mind. You will at one point have to cross the A228 at the traffic lights (spoilers!). Put another way, I want my daughters to both be able to enjoy it and they are 5 and 11.

What time does it run?

Because you'll have to collect some resources, and there is an element of if you get stuck you have access to help it runs between 9AM and 6PM. We want to ensure people set off at different times also so you'll be given a time slot closer to the day. If you can't make it no problem just drop us a message.
